Having been a family physician for over 35 years and a health coach for the past five years, I’ll roll up my sleeves alongside you in-between your doctor appointments to help you succeed in improving your health.
How does this health coaching work?
1. Book a session
Schedule a 60-min session to work one-on-one with Dr. K to define your goals and create a personalized, practical plan to accomplish them.
2. Stay motivated
Receive ongoing support directly from Dr. K through weekly check-ins via text or email (I call them Sparkk Checks!).
3. Form new healthy habits!
Successfully (and safely!) transform your unhealthy behaviors into sustainable healthy habits.

No, I will not prescribe any medications. My focus is to champion the health care plan that you and your physician have discussed and chosen.

That is up to you. It varies from person to person. Some people do very brief coaching — even one session — for a discrete problem, such as getting help navigating the healthcare system. Others may participate in coaching for several months for something like managing their weight, diabetes, or heart disease. Once you achieve your health goal, we can stop meeting, or we can continue pursuing other healthy goals you may have.

No, this health coaching is “fee for service” because I want to help you set goals and achieve better health by following evidence-based techniques, not insurance-mandated protocols. You could investigate if money placed into a Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA) through your employer could be used to reimburse you for these health coaching services.
